No more squeaky springs with the new Torx axle suspension!
 
The bump above will prevent the passenger side rods from being pinched against the boat.  This is not new for Bass Cat, but has been incorporated on the Puma FTD!
     
 
The Puma has always had a unique front deck with the net storage capsule in the middle of the front deck.  The new Puma FTD opens up another compartment for tackle storage.  With an ice chest at the seat, the small box on the right on the step up can now serve two purposes......ice chest or dry storage!
 

The Mercury Fury prop!  The hottest prop on the market.  Lightning fast holeshots and blistering top end speed!
 
Polished aluminum cup holders.  These are nice.  Twist and the cupholder can be removed!
     
In front of the driver's side console is a nifty storage slot for the measuring board. 
     
Triangular shaped livewells giving more volume of water and making it the largest livewell in the industry!  The opening is deceiving and is large enough to put a 15+ lber if you caught one!
Stainless steel drain plug!  New for '09!
Underseat storage is large enough for me to store tools, slicker suit and some other small stuff.  I will use this storage space for those items I hope I don't need!
 
Pictured to the right is the rear storage space.  I have 7 storage boxes and there is still room to store the fire extinguisher there!  Much bigger than what I remembered!
 
     
One of the coolest features of the new boat is the recessed navigation light.  This thing has LED bulbs and is bright!  No more bent navigation light and no longer have to remove!  In addition, there no way it can blind one in the boat since the trolling motor bracket fit right over the top of it!

The Detwiler hydraulic jack plate may be the strongest plate on the market.  It has recently undergone a pump re-design which features the Mercury 115 tilt and trim pump.  Other than the new pump, there are no longer 4 long stainless rods holding the pump and lifting ram rod together.  It is now incorporated into the pump itself.  This redesign should place Detwiler at top of the list when it comes to reliability, strength, and speed! 

A new look for Mercury Smart Craft!  This is the SC1000 System Tachometer/Speedometer w/ 4 seperate link gauges displaying tilt/trim height, engine temperature, water pressure, and voltage at all times!  In addition to the Mercury Smart Craft I have an "Ex-Zact" dial for my hydraulic jack plate.  The key placement has also been moved over to near the gear shifter.

MotorGuide Tour Edition 36 volt trolling motors are the most reliable, strongest trolling motor on the market.  Lighter by as much as 10 lbs. over the competition.  When used with the MotorGuide Hydrilla Hacker Prop, weed build up is a thing of the past!
